Israel's Supreme Court has condemned the mayor of Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai, for his ordering the removal of MEF's Israel Victory Project billboard on February 14, 2020. During the run-up to Israel's March 2020 election, the Middle East Forum sponsored several giant billboards in prominent Tel Aviv locations. They depicted both Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on their knees waving a white flag with the words "Peace is only made with defeated enemies." The Supreme Court rejected Huldai's action as unjustified, saying that he exceeded his authority in repressing MEF's freedom of speech. The justices ruled that MEF may resubmit the billboards if it chooses to do so, and that the mayor must reconsider his former stance, "given the difficulties of that position."

Twenty years after the infamous brutal beating to death of two IDF reservists, Vadim Norzhich and Yosef Avrahami, the Knesset held a unique conference on what has been learned from that event and whether inciters to hate and those involved in terror have been held to account. The conference was held under the auspices of the Knesset Israel Victory Caucus (KIVC), whose role is to encourage decision-makers and opinion-shapers to work towards ending the Israel-Palestinian conflict by ensuring the Palestinians give up their 100-year war of violent rejectionism against Jewish sovereignty.

All Israeli citizens need to understand our idea of Israeli victory, understand how to fight the Palestinian problem. We're not there yet, we need the people to embrace our idea as well, and then the Israeli leader will receive the support for its implementation.

Goldin was speaking at a demonstration organized by a coalition of right-wing groups led by the hawkish Israel Victory Project, which is known for stunts such as erecting a billboard featuring a Speedo-clad Ismail Haniyeh next to Tel Aviv’s Ayalon Highway and quietly renaming Tel Aviv streets after Palestinian terrorists. The group said that the chicken, which was emblazoned with the slogan “No more being afraid! Demanding Israeli victory,” was meant to symbolize the “cowardice of past policies against Hamas.”

The Israel Victory Project (IVP) of The Middle East Forum (MEF) made headlines this week when huge billboards went up along the Ayalon Freeway in Tel Aviv depicting a happy Hamas leader Ishmail Haniyeh wearing a bikini. ‘Shukran (Thanks in Arabic) Israel’ a banner above the image of Haniyeh carrying a suitcase full of dollars read. The billboards mark the beginning of a campaign which demands a radical change in Israel’s policy of appeasement vis-a-vis the Palestinian Arab terror movements, especially in Gaza, under the slogan ‘Enough being scared. Demand victory for Israel’. “Victory means imposing one’s will on the enemy; history teaches that conflicts end when one side gives up. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict will end only when Palestinians realize they cannot achieve their goal of eliminating the Jewish State of Israel,” Daniel Pipes president of MEF and founder of IVP said.

“This protest is the result of deep pain felt by many people across all parts of Israeli society,” said Middle East Forum director Gregg Roman. Israelis are frustrated by terrorism and having to repeatedly fight the Palestinians and ought to “stop managing the conflict and decide [to bring] it to an end, from a place of strength and on our terms,” he said.
August 7, 2019
Gregg Roman, CEO of the Middle East Forum, said in a statement: “This is a protest action that comes from great pain in the general public in the State of Israel. We all remember the Park Hotel, bus line 5, and Dolphinarium discotheque massacres, and we are all frustrated by the rounds of violence that paralyze the lives of southern residents. We must stop managing the conflict and decide that we will bring it to an end, from a position of power and on our own terms,” Roman added. “This is the only way to end the conflict and this is our demand from the future Israeli government."

The controversial signs were put up by the Israel Victory Project, a Middle East Forum initiative meant to steer U.S. policy toward backing an Israel victory over the Palestinians to resolve the decades-long conflict. The group has been protesting what they say is a “weak” Israeli response to Palestinian terrorism with various public relations campaigns that went viral.

MEF Director Roman: “Israel knows how to deal with Iran. With the Palestinians, [Israel is] one step behind on every new form of rejectionism. In the long term, if not solved, they pose an existential threat to the idea of a Jewish State,” he added. “The Palestinians are rewarded for rejecting, Israelis are punished for accepting,” he said, and added that the problem was compounded by the fact that the Palestinians believe “time is on their side". the only way for the conflict to be resolved is when the Palestinians admit they have lost.
